V (1) 1 Coleman’s Follycott Frank Lee, 10 years pepper, strong masculine head, good balance, moved well given age. YD (3,1a) 1 Hansford’s Cassencarrie Bonnie Lad, pepper, balanced, correct front, well laid shoulders & reach of neck, short on coat, very good rear action on move; 2 Culverhouse’s Cassencarrie Gandalf at Lycath, pepper, strong masculine head, dark eye, well laid shoulders, nice shape. Coat past its best, not moving at all well in the heat. PGD (2,1) 1 C Bonnie Lad. LD (5) 1 Smethurst’s Dawsholm Dapper Davoc, pepper, nice shape, balanced picture, good strong head, dark eye, strong pigmentation, well laid shoulders, deep chest, nice topline held on the move, in good hard condition. RCC; 2 Carter’s Cassencarrie James Blond, mustard, coat past its best which spoilt the picture. Correct front, good feet, strong head, ribs well sprung, moved well; 3 Denham’s Scottsbairn Duke Of Ross. OD (3,1) 1 Deacon’s Ch/Am Ch Pennywise Burning Ambition with Cassencarrie, mustard, balanced, good head dark eye, correct size teeth, good front, well laid shoulders, nice length of neck, deep chest. Would have looked better in a coat with length. CC & BOB; 2 C Bonnie Lad.
YB (3) 1 Motler’s Wazzly Athena, good mustard colour & texture, very feminine, soundly constructed which showed on the move, darkest of eyes, soft expression, very good rear angulation; 2 Osborne’s Pitfirrane Silver Lady of Braego, pepper, nice shape & size, good front construction, moved well; 3 Brooke’s Berdinbrook Pandora. PGB (2,1) 1 Brooke’s Dengold Cutty Sark of Berdinbrook, pepper, in good condition, quality coat, feminine head, dark eye, correct front, good rear angulation. LB (6,1) 1 Denham’s Dentgate Serendipity, pepper, soundly constructed, nice length of neck, well laid shoulders, balanced on move & standing, in good condition, dual coat of correct texture, moved very well. RCC; 2 Kinsey Morgan’s Inzievar Gold Edition, mustard, feminine, presented nice shape but marred by blown coat. Not the front of 1, not happy with the terrain but moved well; 3 Heywood’s Schalulleke Clara Jones. OB (3) 1 Motler’s Wazzly Aphrodite, mustard, soundly constructed, well handled on a hot day & difficult terrain, balanced, well laid shoulders, deep chest, good spring of rib, coat of correct texture, floated around the ring. CC; 2 Cameron’s Inzievar Silver Bonnet, pepper, one I have seen before & still like, not happy on the move, in excellent condition, good coat, sound construction. Lost out to 1 on the move; 3 Jarvis’ Mosterlada Shooting Star.
