Judges Show Reports 2010 Judges Reports Midland Counties 2010 Judges Report
Thanks to exhibitors for a good entry of 45, although this was somewhat depleted by absentees. My main concern was thin open feet, short ribcages and lack of muscle tone. Heads were lovely, mouths excellent with big teeth, Movement as always was an issue, Hind movement was better than front, there were too many wide fronts.
Puppy D (1) 1st Bromleys Mishahda Volacanic Storm 6 1/2 mths Very striking up to size pepper in very good quality coat. Strong masculine head with abundant topknot, dark eye, correct mouth. Good body length, topline rather flatish at the moment but moved well going away. Best Puppy.
Post Grad D (2) 1ab. 1st Hunters Etsill Scapa Flow Small Pepper D Head of good proportions although could be
more masculine, good stop, dark eye and good bite. Correct topline and tailset he moved with style on muscular legs and neat feet.
Limit D (6) 1st Hansfords Cassencarrie Bonnie Lad, Stylish pepper who just powers around the ring. Lovely appealing head and expression, dark eye and good mouth low set ears. Nice length of body with good ribbing and tailset. Excellent mover. RCC
2nd Skitt & Jones Vistca Vincent mustard smaller type, Strong masculine head, correct proportions, deep muzzle eyes lighter than 1 , deep chest and good ribbing. Not in his best coat today, presentation could be more polished Feet could be tighter.
3rd Millers Puddockswell Moon Shadow at Dryfevalley.
Open Dog (2) 1ab 1st Denhams Scottsbairn Duke of Ross 4yrs old mature pepper, Lovely masculine dog in excellent quality coat, correct in size, strong in head good mouth, eye could be slightly darker. Good reach of neck, set into good shoulder giving a good front and tight feet. Strong ribbing and well muscled hindquarters he strode out very well front and back. Yes he carries his tail high but I forgave him that for his many virtues. C.C.
Puppy B (5) 2ab 1st Heywoods Cloverwood Day By Day at Schalulleke 9mths pepper Lovely puppy in 1st class coat, head needs to develop yet, dark eye and fine ears. Good body length, but for balance would like more leg length. Still very immature she moves with enthusiam.
2nd Hazelwoods Gypsywish Secret Tune mustard nice sized puppy, lovely topline and tailset. Strong but feminine head, correct mouth. Good front and well ribbed. Moved out well, outline rather swamped by excessive coat. In a new coat will have her day.
3rd Eves Sylvanken Silver Dawn
Junior B (6) 1ab 1st Booths Cloverwood Candlelight mustard bitch, feminine and full of quality, correct size lovely flowing topline and set on. Head of good proportions, big teeth, dark eye giving a melting expression. In correct
coat, she moved out really well, her handler just needs a bit more confidence.
2nd Marshalls Deeganden Lavender of Dun Eideann Slightly larger pepper who has excellent topline and tailset in good quality, if short coat, preferred the head in width of 1 . Nice dark eye. Moved really well.
3rd Bells Kirkhalin Mystic Prudence.
Post Grad B (6) 1ab 1st Osbournes Pitfirrane Silver Lady of Braego pepper active and workmanlike, feminine expression, correct mouth with big teeth. lack of topnot makes her look plainer than she actually is. Excellent shoulders and reach of neck, good topline and tailset. Good feet and muscular legs on which she moves soundly when she is moved at the right pace. Furnishings and more polished presentation would complete the picture.
2nd Hunters Etsill Inganess Bay pepper smaller than 1 Nicely proportioned head good dark eye giving a melting
expression, strong neck, would like more upper arm for reach in front, moved well behind. In good quality coat.
3rd Lomas Cloverwood Double Delight.
Limit B (8) 3ab 1st Morris's Pennywave Amaryllis mustard, quality bitch of correct size in excellent coat. Lovely feminine head of correct proportions with melting expression. Good in shoulders and topline, sound when moving
although a little hesitant at times.
2nd Hunters Puddocks Hootin Annie at Etsill, attractive mustard who has matured well. Similar in type to 1 with good topline and tailset, ribbed well back. Moved soundly, just preferred the strength of muzzle of 1. In better coat than 3.
3rd Motlers Wazzly Athena.
Open B (7) 5ab 1st Russells Aust. Ch. Jollygaze Hopeless Romantic for Hawkesmill (Imp) pepper. Correct in size and outline,she is very neatly put together and has ring presence. I would prefer a larger eye and neater feet but her movement front and back is excellent. Quality bitch. CC. & BOB.
2nd Motlers Ch Wazzly Aphrodite 6yrs old mustard unfortunate to meet 1 today on good form. Another quality bitch, very good neck, shoulders, topline and tailset. Feminine head, melting expression, low ear set, correct mouth.
Straight front and well angulated hindquarters, she move soundly and happily. R.C.C.
