Southern Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club

We held another successful Open Show on Sunday 12th April at Cricklade Town Hall. The AGM took place in the morning and it was agreed by the members to donate £2000 to Prof Lohi in Finland to aid his continued work into mapping the DNA of the Dandie to help in finding the gene which carries Glaucoma.

The afternoon was taken up with judging and an entry of 47 awaited Jonas Wiborg (Kennel Lachlan) from Sweden. It was a pleasure to watch the way he handled the exhibits with an obvious knowledge and love of the breed. His approach was gentle and methodical and the smile on his face showed his enjoyment in the task. He found his BIS in Beverly Deacon's AM Ch Pennywise Burning Ambition for Cassencarrie, BB and RBIS Billy and Jackie Shore's Ch Swanwillow Savannah, BP Sheila Bullock and Paul Keevil's Yazga Love The One You're With and BV Peggy Hulme's Brackenford Capricious of Hendell.
